TPT Fire has invested in a purpose-built Training Centre at our Basingstoke headquarters. This live, hands-on facility sets a new benchmark for quality, competence, and compliance, ensuring our teams are equipped with the skills and confidence to protect people and property safely.
About Our Training Centre
Used by the entire TPT team from trainees and experienced engineers to office-based colleagues who don’t usually see these systems in action the centre helps bridge the gap between the office and the field. It gives everyone a first-hand understanding of the systems we design, install, maintain, and support, ensuring the whole team shares a real-world appreciation of the work we do.
By recreating real-life scenarios in a safe, controlled environment, staff can build confidence, deepen technical knowledge, and practise troubleshooting without the pressures of a live site. The facility forms a core part of our training and professional development pathways, supporting ongoing career progression within TPT Fire.
This unique investment means that when TPT engineers arrive on site, they’re not only qualified and accredited, but also practised, prepared, and proven delivering the highest standards of safety and professionalism on every job.
Facilities include:
- A fully operational water storage tank with standard system components
- Jockey pump and electric fire pump with initiation board, controllers, minimum flow valve, and flow test capability
- Control valves from all major manufacturers:
- 5 × Wet Control Valves (Victaulic, Viking, Reliable, Tyco, Rapidrop)
- 3 × Dry Control Valves (Victaulic, Reliable, Viking)
- 1 × Deluge Control Valve System (Victaulic)
- 4 × Pre-Action Control Valves (Victaulic, Reliable, and 2 × Viking sets, all fully trip-testable with detection systems)
- Air compressors (two types)
- Town main fluctuation booster pump
- 3 × Zone Valves with Zone Checks and Zone Guardians
- 2 × Residential Control Valves
- Dry Riser System and Wet Riser Landing Valves, with live flow testing
- Full alarm integration, with all valves and alarms reporting back to our fire alarm panel
- Demonstrations of different sprinkler heads and spray patterns
